*Note - Starting Fall of 2009, Thompson Berry Youth Soccer Association & Daviess County Youth Soccer Association/Kenergy, in cooperation with the DC & OPS Middle School soccer program, will no longer be offering U12 - U14 Recreational Soccer programs to area players. Players in these two age groups are encouraged to sign up with their appropriate middle school program, or attend the scheduled open try outs for the Owensboro Strikers Select Soccer Club.

2009–2010 SEASON TRYOUTS

THIS PRE-REGISTRATION IS FOR THE TRY-OUT SESSION ONLY, NOT FOR THE OWENSBORO STRIKERS CLUB ITSELF. IF YOUR CHILD ATTENDS THE TRY-OUT AND IS SELECTED TO JOIN A TEAM, YOU WILL BE CONTACTED TO FINISH THE ACTUAL CLUB REGISTRATION ITSELF. YOU ARE UNDER NO OBLIGATION BY PRE-REGISTERING OR TRYING OUT.

The Owensboro Strikers Select Soccer Club, located in Owensboro, Kentucky and currently operating as an associate program of the Thompson Berry Youth Soccer Association will be holding open tryouts for the 2009-2010 season for the following divisions:

 

U9/U10 – BOYS & GIRLS

U11/U13 - BOYS & GIRLS

U15 – BOYS & GIRLS

U16 – GIRLS & MIXED

U17 – BOYS & MIXED

Each team will participate in a ‘full year’ season beginning September 1st, 2009, and concluding July 1st, 2010 with intermittent breaks for Fall & Spring in accordance with the DC & OPS school schedule. The season will consist of complete physical and competitive game play training along with many scrimmage/friendly/circuit games throughout the fall months, then 10+ official season games during the spring SISL and/or EASA league. Top points leaders will advance into regional and national tournaments. Regional light traveling is required (Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee). Teams are provided with professional instruction from fully licensed Coaches and Assistants, and a world class uniform consisting of Jersey, Shorts, Socks & a ball. Tryouts are free and open to any experienced player with birthdates falling appropriately into the selected division age parameters. The tryouts will held at the Thompson Berry Fields on the following dates & times:

U9/U10 – Saturday, August 8th: Boys: 12pm, Girls: 1pm

U11/U13 – Saturday, August 15th: Girls: 12pm, Boys: 1pm

U15 – Saturday, August 15th: Boys: 1pm, Girls: 2pm

U16 – Saturday, August 22nd: Girls: 1pm, Mixed/Boys: 2pm

U17 – Saturday, August 22nd: Girls 3pm, Mixed/Boys: 4pm
